Testimonials

Welcome to the 21st century.

The installation, once we got the line to the house, was a breeze. The technicians arrived on time and were very responsive to where I wanted the hardware located. The installation was professional, and no debris was left behind. The process may take a few hours.

Service has been as promised. The speeds are consistent and high. Latency is non-existent and upload speeds very fast, which makes using cellular WIFI for phone indistinguishable from a landline. Service continued uninterrupted through the snow squalls that blew through Sunday, which was a pleasant surprise.

Welcome to the 21st century.
– Richard, Calais

I can’t say enough about the service.

We reliably have speeds of no lower than 90 Mbps up and down, and that only occurs when two people are streaming media, in an online meeting, etc. I’m not sure the complexity (and cost) of what CVFiber is doing can be overstated. We are all accustomed to having longer power outages due to the WEC territory including so many miles of poles running through the woods and over hill and dale. CVFiber has to put the fiber on those poles. And while it may seem like they must be swimming in money, the cost of the fiber alone is staggering. Then add in the labor costs of stringing the fiber. So, when it comes to having a robust outreach and response team, that’s difficult to pull off.

– Kathy, Calais

The work of CVFiber is historic and deeply important.

What is deeply missing at this time in our state’s history is rural and reliable high-speed internet.  The work of CVFiber and other communication districts is…..historic and deeply important.  Both of our sons now reliably use the internet at home (without having to leave our home) for any variety of academic, vocational, and social reasons. Importantly, both of our sons will eventually make decisions about where they want to live/work as adults and they both have stated that having reliable high-speed Internet access will be/is a core characteristic for where they decide to consider living/working. With this historic build out, Vermont now is out from the “no way” category to the “definitely will consider” category. Right on!

– Matt, Worcester

The service is fast and reliable.

So far, the service is fast and reliable. The Consolidated line had many up/down issues and phone quality issues. Many of you understand that it is time for a change. I am so glad that CVFiber decided it was time to do the same thing that Rural Electrification Act (REA) did in the last century – to serve folks on the last mile with the same speed and quality as those folks in the cities. No one else would step up and make the investment. They have and we are very grateful.

– Bill, Calais

The fiber is great!

I’m so happy to finally be hooked up, it’s all I had hoped for, and more! A far, far cry from the old days of dial-up, then satellite internet, most recently “high-speed” DSL through Consolidated, which I have now canceled.

– Craig, Calais
