Bead Program Manager
The BEAD project is a $106 million federal grant project awarded to NEKCV to bring fiber-optic broadband internet service to the remaining unserved addresses in our 72 town district.
The Program Manager will lead NEKCV’s Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD Program) initiatives, overseeing planning, execution, compliance, and reporting for federally funded broadband expansion across the Northeast Kingdom and Central Vermont. This role should serve as the Executive Director’s strategic partner—providing operational leadership, supervising program staff, coordinating contractors, and ensuring NEKCV meets all NTIA, federal, state, and local requirements.
The Program Manager will manage complex infrastructure projects, maintain rigorous grant compliance, and represent NEKCV with municipalities, state agencies, vendors, and community partners.
The ideal candidate for this BEAD Program Manager position will be a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual, possessing a comprehensive understanding of project management best practices preferably with either a background in managing federally funded programs or infrastructure grants and telecommunications infrastructure and/or construction.
Manager of Sales
NEKCV is seeking an experienced and motivated Manager of Sales to lead customer acquisition and community outreach efforts across the Northeast Kingdom and Central Vermont. This position will oversee sales strategy, manage field sales representatives, and help drive subscriber growth as broadband service expands throughout the region.
The Manager of Sales will play a key role in building relationships with residents, businesses, community organizations, and local stakeholders while developing and implementing effective outreach and sales initiatives. This position requires a strong combination of leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a passion for community-focused work.
Telecom Field Sales Representative
NEK Broadband and CVFiber are seeking seasonal and full-time Sales Representatives to conduct direct customer outreach throughout our 72-town service area across the Northeast Kingdom and Central Vermont. This role involves engaging with residents and businesses to promote broadband services and expand community connectivity.
Compensation includes a combination of hourly pay, daily rates, commission opportunities, and mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use at the current State of Vermont reimbursement rate.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to gain experience in the telecommunications and broadband industry while developing customer service, sales, and community engagement skills.
Warehouse / Material Handler
NEK Broadband is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler. The successful candidate for this position will be someone who embraces the NEK Broadband mission and thrives in a fast paced, “startup” environment, while bringing the organizational skills necessary to ensure that the construction teams have the necessary materials and equipment, while working safely and efficiently. The Warehouse Material Handler must be able to be licensed on a forklift, will be responsible for material handling daily tasks, assisting management with daily inventory, and assisting with the deployment of materials to our contractors.
