About The HUB

The HUB, located at 1334 Scott Highway, is a free, digitally-focused community work space for Groton and its neighbors. Part of a $2.85M USDA Community Connect Grant awarded to NEKCV to bring high-speed fiber internet to every unserved address in Groton, the HUB aims to meet the digital needs of the community.

Connectivity Hub Guidelines

Welcome to the Groton Connectivity HUB! This shared community space is designed to foster collaboration, and social connection around technology, work, and learning. To ensure a productive and comfortable environment for all members, please follow these guidelines.

1. Reservations
All use must be booked in advance to ensure availability and prevent any scheduling conflicts.

Event Calendar: To view current reservations and upcoming events, please check the Groton Connectivity HUB calendar.
One Hour: All shared work areas, entire meeting room, and either one of the two computer stations must be booked ahead of time. Please use the scheduling system accessible via: Calendar Invite.
Longer than 1 hour: For reservations exceeding one hour, please complete the Request Form for extended use of the space.
Off-Hours Exclusive Space: Any individual or group wishing to reserve the entire HUB Space outside of normal operating hours must submit a reservation request at least two (2) weeks in advance. This ensures staffing arrangements can be made. Request Form.

2. Supervision of Minors
Age Restriction: No person under the age of eighteen (18) is permitted in the HUB Space unless directly supervised by a parent, guardian, or an authorized program staff member at all times.

3. Respecting the Shared Space
Noise: Respect this shared space by talking in low voices, and using headphones for playing music and video. Meeting Pods are available for private discussions.
Food and Drink: Food and beverages are allowed. All items must be removed when you leave. Please clean up any food or drink spills immediately. Dispose of all waste in the provided bins. Please adhere to a “Carry in, carry out” policy.
Equipment: Handle all HUB equipment and furniture with care. Report any damage or malfunctions immediately. If no one is onsite, please email the Hub Manager.
Personal Belongings: Do not leave personal items unattended for extended periods. The HUB is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

The HUB is intended for:

Technology Access: Using the two computer stations or personal devices with our fast, reliable internet with symmetrical 100 Mbps upload and download speeds.
Work: Independent work and studying, or co-working.
Small Group Meetings: Discussions, brainstorming, and formal small-scale meetings.

Hours of Operation

Monday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. 
Tuesday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Wednesday 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Thursday 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
